Garden Island Resort for your Taveuni Fiji Wedding

Garden Island Resort is ideal for your honeymoon and is the only 'hotel-style' resort in Taveuni and is situated roughly half-way along the island's south-west/north-east sloping island. It is close to the town of Waiyevo and is probably the closest to the registration office in Taveuni. A noted dive resort (Aqua-Trek Taveuni Diving), the 30-room resort also caters for weddings and wedding parties. Some guests have even arrived before deciding to get married and - depending on the length of stay - the Resort has been able to organise an impromptu wedding!

The resort staff love weddings and will go out of their way to make the occasion extra special. The Resort's Wedding Ceremony package is also suitable for those wishing to renew their vows.

The package includes:

Permit or license
Services of a Minister
Two salusalu (flower garlands), a bridal bouquet and two head crowns
Traditional Fijian wedding dress (tapa cloth) for bride and groom (hire only)
Sunset ceremony by the pool with a flower arch, decorations, serenaders or a choir
Meke (traditional dance) performance
Lovo wedding dinner (extra for guests not on a meal plan)
Wedding cake
Bottle of champagne, fresh flowers and a fruit basket in couple's room

Price per couple: FJD $1,500 (valid 2007)
